As Pollstar confirmed earlier today, Ed Sheeran’s Divide Tour will set the all-time highest-grossing tour record tonight, Friday, August 2. With this evening’s show at Messegelände in Hannover, Germany, the 246th show of Sheeran’s nearly two-and-a-half-year run, Pollstar forecasts the total gross thus far of his Divide Tour, $736.7 million, will surpass the previous record set by U2 in 2011 ($735.4 million).
Following closely on Sheeran’s heels is South Korea’s BTS with a stadium-sized sold ticket average of 52,176 from two-show performances in two venues in Japan.
